The quilt that started it all. Made back in 2011 for a "Design Expo" at my last apparel job. The event was supposed to be some sort of showcase that would let all the non-designers ( buyers, product development, sourcing, blah, blah) see what we were capable of and take us more seriously. Well, I don't know about all that, but it did trigger something in me. It definitely made me want to pursue more of this hands on, tactile stuff. It would just take another five years before that would actually happen.
Entirely cotton muslin. Cotton batting. Hand dyed. Machine pieced and quilted.
Based off of Sonia Delaunay's Design B53, 1924.
